Bacon Jam Cheeseburger Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 lb ground chuck
1 large onion
4 slices Colby cheese
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
For the sauce:
1 tbsp Miracle Whip
1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions: 1. Cut the bacon into medium-sized pieces and set aside. 2. Quarter the onion and thinly slice, then set aside. 3. Cook the bacon over medium-high heat until it's 90% done, being careful not to overcook. Drain, leaving about 1 tbsp of grease in the pan, and set the bacon aside. 4. Add the onions to the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes until they are translucent and tender. 5. Add water, reduce heat to medium-low, and stir. Then add the brown sugar and stir until well combined. 6. Continue to cook for another 8-10 minutes, adding the balsamic vinegar and stirring occasionally, until the jam is thick and dark. 7. Form patties and cook them in a skillet with the leftover bacon grease over medium-high heat to your preferred doneness. Top with cheese and allow it to melt. 8. In a separate skillet, melt butter and toast the pretzel buns. 9. Assemble the burgers and serve. Enjoy your meal
