Steak Nacho Recipe
2 3oz sirloin steaks, thinly sliced
4-6 tostadas
1 can refried beans
1 1/2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese
1 1/2 tsp taco seasoning (your favorite)
1 tsp Cajun seasoning (your favorite)
2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions: Season the thinly sliced steak with taco seasoning and set aside. Gently warm the refried beans over low heat. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tbsp of olive oil and allow it to heat up. Once hot, add the steak and cook to your preference, about 3-4 minutes for medium. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 7. Lightly coat the tostadas with the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil and evenly sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. 8. Place the tostadas in the oven for 4-5 minutes, then remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes. 9. Spread the warmed beans on the tostadas, add a layer of cheese, the cooked steak, and another layer of cheese, covering the tostadas completely. 10. Bake in the oven until the cheese is fully melted, approximately 4-5 minutes. 11. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped cilantro, cut into quarters, and serve. Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapeños.
